First hour: Robert David Steele and Cynthia McKinney are pushing #UNRIG — their effort to bring together all well-meaning Americans, from all sides of the political spectrum, against a common enemy (the Deep State) in favor of a common solution (election reform). The method: Convince Congress-critters to sign the Election Integrity Pledge:
|Can this unlikely pair (former 6-term Congresswoman and CIA Officer) save America?|
I, ________________________________, pledge to the people of the _____ district of the State of _______________________ and to the American People that I will
actively engage with all of my constituents during the summer recess of 2017, to discuss the twelve elements of the proposed Election Reform Act of 2017, and refine those elements in so far as my constituents desire to do so; and
co-sponsor and vote for the Election Reform Act of 2017 such that it is passed no later than 7 November 2017 but preferably in September 2017 when Congress reconvenes.
Robert and Cynthia are about to launch their national tour. I was unable to connect with them tonight, so instead I offered my take on their #UNRIG project.
Second hour: Paul Larudee, co-founder of the Free Palestine Movement, discusses the current Israel assault against the al-Aqsa mosque; his description of Israel as a "Strangler Fig Nation"; and issues pertaining to the ongoing lawsuit against CIA torture shrinks James Mitchell and John "Bruce" Jessen. Paul recently emailed me describing his encounter with a DOD "interrogation consultant" psychologist:
"As we talked, I learned that she was a psychologist consultant with the Defense Department, advising on interrogation techniques of Arab prisoners. She shared with me that she felt that the use of religion, physical pressure and other techniques was ineffective, and that the most effective means of eliciting information was to use the family bonds. It was a very clinical/academic approach to the problem.
I told her that I had experience with such techniques, having volunteered with the International Solidarity Movement in the Palestinian West Bank. In Nablus, we had intervened where Israeli soldiers had removed 60-70 members of one extended family three times in the same night from their apartments in the family building, destroyed most of their furniture, arrested around 15 of the men without charges and spread word that the entire building would be blown up if one member of the family did not turn himself in. They gave the family a written statement that they could be exiled to Gaza.
Our intervention apparently saved the house. I never found out if the man turned himself in."
